Spa Seafoods Restaurant is located a few miles west of Tralee on the road to Fenit. As well as being a nice sit-down seafood restaurant is is also a Deli which sells fresh fish, seafood chowder, quiche, fish pies, seafood lasagnes, fish cakes, crab cakes and other foods.
The restaurant, which is located upstairs has great views of Tralee Bay and Fenit Harbour.
Although it is mainly a seafood restaurant it also has some excellent, meat, chicken and vegetarian dishes.
The seafood dishes are outstanding and if fish dishes are to your liking, this is one of the best restaurants to visit in the Tralee area.
Some Main Courses at Spa Seafoods
Traditional Fish & Chips which consists of
“Crispy beer battered cod, served with homemade fries, mushy peas & tartare sauce.”
This favourite is elevated from the pedestrian to a new level with the freshness of the fish, the crispiness of the batter and the tanginess of the sauce.
Another of our favourite main courses is the Fragrant Monkfish & King Prawn Thai Red Curry
with basmati rice, homemade mango chutney & garlic naan bread.
The texture and taste of the monkfish was not overwhelmed by the subtle flavour of the Thai Red Curry sauce.
Starters at Spa Seafood Restaurant Tralee we recommend
Local Seafood Chowder, Seafood velouté with fresh herbs & mix of local fish.
Crab & Apple Croquette, with chili, served with pickled beetroot, fennel & rocket salad.
These are just a flavour of the wide range of dishes on the menu. Ther eis something to suit most tastes, even those who don’t like fish. Check out their sample menu here.
This restaurant also has a good selection of desserts, wines, teas and coffees.
Things we like about this restaurant are the freshness of the fish, the variety of tasty dishes, the service and the view.
