Cromane Seafest 2019

Cromane SeaFest 2019 is the latest addition to Kerry’s list of food festivals.

The Cromane community has decided that it is time to celebrate the long tradition of fishing and especially the production of Oysters and Mussels for which Cromane is famous.
Cromane has been supplying the Irish, UK and European markets with high quality mussels and oysters as well as salmon and trout for decades and has also exported to Japan and the far East.
This thriving community industry has gone largely unnoticed outside of Cromane and it is hoped that Cromane Seafest will bring Cromane to the attention of the wider public.

Taste some of Ireland’s finest local seafood and meet the Cromane fishermen who will be central to the festivities over the weekend.

As well as competitions including Cromane First Oyster Shucking Champion ther will be lots of opportunities to sample the numerous seafood delicacies.
Ther will also be lots of watersports including water trampoline,  canoeing, paddle boarding and kite flying.

There will also be knot-tying lessons, Trawler racing, boat tours and lots more.
There will be lots of live music and DJs.
