The 2023 Kerry Drama Festival at The Ivy Leaf Theatre has has been a resounding success! The Kerry Drama Festival Results 2023 are here.
We had seven nights of top quality performances from drama groups from far and near and it was generally agreed that the standard of production this year was really high.
Attendances were back to normal after a few years of disruption, with a full house on many nights.
The adjudicator Ailbhe Garvey Hughes gave a very jnformative critique of the plays at the end of each night and had a very difficult task of choosing the winners of the awards. As she said herself, “There was not a hair’s breadth between them”
As it turned out “Oleanna” performed by Prosperous Dramatic Society swept the top awards.
