The Adjudicator

The adjudicator Anna Walker gave a very informative and comprehensive critique of the plays at the end of each night.
Each night she emphasised the sheer volume of work which went in of the preparation of each play. Sometimes audiences forget to appreciate this so to be reminded was most welcome.

The standard was so high and she had a very difficult task of choosing the winners of the awards.
As well as doing a fantastic job adjudicating the plays, she was the subject of much admiration for her sartorial elegance. She managed to don a different “rig-out” on each of the nine nights!
(Male Adjudicators can get away with one or two suits)

And The Winner is…

A View from the bridge

For the second year in a row Prosperous Dramatic Society swept the top awards, this time for their excellent production of “A View from the Bridge” by Arthur Miller.
Robert Massey again played a flawless lead role earning him the Best Actor Award.

Thanks to The Committee

The committee and volunteers who made Kerry Drama Festival in 2024 possible are due great credit. We go and enjoy the performances and often don’t appreciate the vast amount of work and organisation that goes in to staging this event in the Castleisland.
Thanks to Aidan Reidy, Jerome Stack, Mary Murphy and the rest of the committe and volunteers who have put in so much effort to make this festival a success!
