Il Pomo D’Oro is one of our favourite restaurants in Tralee. It is run by husband and wife team Enis and Val who are careful to serve the best of dishes in a friendly relaxed atmosphere.
The cuisine is distinctly Mediterranean but the standard favourites like Steak and Chips are also on the menu. A wide variety of pasta dishes with various different sauces with meat, chicken or fish are available.
As well as a large selection of main courses this Italian restaurant in Tralee serves numerous starters. Our favourite is Gamberoni alla Griglia, fat juicy prawns in Lemon Butter Sauce or Tomato Sauce.
One of our favourite main courses is the Risotto Gamberoni which is an Arborio Rice with Prawns, Onions, Garlic, Fresh Tomato, Spinach and Parmesan Shaving.
Enis takes great care in producing mouth watering home made desserts including an excellent Tiramisu. (Let us know if you find a better Tiramisu anywhere).
Pizzas at Il Pomo Doro Italian Restaurant in Tralee
If you are looking for an authentic Italian pizza which is a cut above the the mass-produced generic pizzas you find elsewhere, Il Pomo Doro is the place to go. The base is made and baked freshly on ordering and it is cooked using the best of fresh ingredients. For a real feast order their Quattro Stagione Pizza.
They also have a nice selection of wines and coffees and the friendly service cannot be faulted.
Il Pomo Doro Italian Restaurant in Tralee has very reasonably priced Lunch Menu and Early Bird Menu as well as the A La Carte.
