
Castlegregory is located on the Dingle Peninsula about 16 miles west of Tralee. This village has a native population of about 300 but this expands greatly during the Summer months because it is a popular holiday destination. The village has a few nice restaurants and pubs.
What’s in Castlegregory?
The village is situated at the entrance to The Maharees which is a sandy peninsula with some nice beaches where water sports including diving, surfing and wind surfing are popular. There are amenities for children to enjoy watersports and there are a number of caravan and camping sites as well as some B&Bs.
Castlegregory has its own Golf Club, a very active GAA Club and it is also a popular area for hill walkers. Mount Brandon is just to the west of the village.
