Other Great Beaches in Kerry

There are many other excellent beaches in Kerry. The main reason they don’t have Blue Flag status is the fact that they don’t have the required lifeguards at the designated times.
Nevertheless, they are very popular and should not be avoided just because they do not have Blue Flag status. Some of them are stunning scenically.
Among the best are:
Beal, Littor, Derrymore, Clogher Strand, Coumeenole, Waterville and Castlecove.

Most of these beaches are suitable for swimming and bathing (Care and safety precautions should be taken at all times).
Increasingly, watersports including surfing, sailing, wind surfing and kite surfing are becoming more popular at some of these beaches.
