This coastal town has a beautiful beach which is surrounded by stunning cliffs and divided by a rocky outcrop on which stands the iconic Ballybunion Castle. In Summer the beach is crowded with residents and day trippers enjoying the sun and the waves of the Wild Atlantic.

One of Ballybunion’s main attractions is the Golf Club which has two courses including The Old Course which is considered one of the top links courses in the world. Many of the world’s leading golfers and celebrities including President Bill Clinton have played there.

The Tintean Theatre is a great new facility in this town. Many of the top performers in the country have appeared there.

The recently built Leisure Centre has a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and gym so if the weather is not great there is still a lot to do.
